Kendall Foster Amos' Obituary
A FUNeral memorial service celebrating the life of Kendall Foster Amos, age 54 of Lamesa, Texas will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 3, 2016 at the Lamesa Forrest Park Community Center located at 900 South Houston Ave. with his son, Kody Lynn Amos offciating the event. Arrangments are under the care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home of Lamesa, Texas.
Family visitation hour will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.on Friday, September 2, 2016 at Gonzales Funeral Home Chapel.
Kendall died on Monday, August 29, 2016 in Lamesa, Dawson County, Texas. He was born on July 19, 1962 in Dawson County, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Roy Nelle Ray; his father, Richard Louie (Dick) Amos; both sets of his grandparents.
Kendall served as a Master Certified Fire-fighter the time when he was employed by the City of Lamesa Fire Department. He was an EMT, had also served as a City of Lamesa reserved police officer, insurance business, informative technology tech, carpet layer, had been "Blitz" the fire safety clown. Kendall was a Registered Nurse and was employed by Medical Arts Hospital as the O.R. Director. Kendall was a friend to All. Kendall will be greatly missed!
Kendall is survived by his family, his two sons, Kyle Foster Amos of Irving, Texas and Kody Lynn Amos and wife, Elizabeth Jeanett Amos of Lubbock, Texas; his sister, Metta Amos Perry of Lubbock, Texas; his step-father, Ronnie Lee Ray of Lamesa; his grandson, Orson Kabelo Amos (throught Kody and Beth) born on August 25, 2016;
nephews, Phillip Andrew Tyler of Abilene, Texas and Austin Heath Tyler of Lubbock, Texas; step-sister, Dawn Ray and family of Lamesa; step-brother, Dan Ray and family of Lamesa; step-children, Jonna Parr and Josh Wade' seven step-grandchildren; and many great friends.
