My sincerest condolences to the entire Zapata Family and all who loved this beautiful woman. It was honor to be called friend and daughter by her. I hold close to my heart every story she ever told me and every sweet memory she left me with. She definitely was an extraordinary woman. To get to know her over the years and hear her speak of her life and struggles made me a better person. She never got tired of sharing her love story and I never got tired of hearing it. She loved her family so deeply. What will always mean the most to me is that she always made me feel so accepted as if I too were her blood. That meant the world to me. She had a recurring dream where she and Grandpa Lupe are young again, they are on the farm feeding chickens together. I have had that beautiful scene in my mind for days now since her passing and it fills my heart with joy and hope. I will miss her always.
My Tia Aurora (aka Aunt Dora) was born a Super Woman. I will tell you why I believe this. At the age of 14 her mother dies. She is the oldest daughter of 5
girls. Elena aka Nena, my mother Paula aka Pauline/Polly, Evangelina aka Eva, n Juanita aka Janie. The 2 younger brothers are Alfredo aka Fred n Cipriano aka Joe, n 1 older brother Eliodoro aka Lolo. Imagine a 14 year old girl having the responsibility to care for 6 younger brothers n sisters n 1 older brother. My Welito (Grandpa Charlie) was a very strict father and he raised all 8 without a stepmother 1
I believe God gave my Aunt Dora the will to live a long life so her children would never know the pain and trauma she had experienced. Having gone through such a trauma, also gave her the strengthnto endure having to bury
a daughter Delia, n 2 sons Richard and Jesse. She also outlived all her siblings . l will miss her very much. RIP Beloved Tia Dora

So sorry for your loss. She was a very sweet lady
