VIRGINIA MORON LOPEZ's Obituary
A Catholic funeral mass service will be celebrated for Virginia Moron Lopez age 90 of Lamesa, Texas at 10:00: a.m., Thursday, November 29, 2018 at St.Margaret Mary Catholic Church with Father Joseph Kurumbel officiating. Interment will follow to Dawson County Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home of Lamesa, Texas.
Viewing will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday with Rosary prayer services at 7:00 p.m. at Gonzales Funeral Chapel.
Virginia passed away on Monday, November 26, 2018 in Lamesa. She was born on May 21, 1928 in Whiteland, Texas to Marcelino and Delfina Moron. Virginia married Agapito Lopez, Sr. on October 3, 1943 in Eden, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Agapito Lopez, Sr.;her parents, Marcelina and Delfina Moron; her son, Henry Lopez, Sr,;her daughter, Mary Lopez; her grandson, Steven Lopez; her sister, Janie Moron.
Virginia enjoyed cooking, sewing, gardening, dancing, and spending time with her family. She was a member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church.
Virginia is survived by her children, her six sons, Joe Lopez and wife, Julia Lopez of Lamesa, TX., Martin Lopez and wife, Yolanda Lopez of Houston, TX., Raymond Lopez and wife, Linda Lopez of San Angelo, TX., David Lopez and wife, Sally Lopez of Austin, TX., Agapito Lopez, Jr. of Lamesa, TX., and Lupe Lopez and wife, Hope Lopez of Lamesa, TX.; her daughter, Delfina Llanez and husband, Pat Llanez of Lamesa, TX.; 46 grandchildren, 55 great-grandchildren, and 19 great-great-grandchildren.
