Victoria Padilla's Obituary
A Catholic funeral mass will be celebrated for Victoria Padilla, age 80 of Lamesa, Texas at 10:00 a.m., on Friday, August 30, 2013 at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church with Father Joseph Kurumbel officiating. Burial will follow at Lamesa Memorial Park under the direction of Gonzales Funeral Home.
Rosary service will be on Wednesday and Thursday at 7:00p.m. at Gonzales Funeral Home Chapel.
Victoria passed away on Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at University Medical Center in Lubbock, Texas. She was born on March 17, 1033 in Karnes City, Texas. She married Sylvester Padilla on December 9, 1961 in Karnes City, Texas. Victoria loved attending her church and loved spending time with her sons and daughters and grandchildren.
Preceded her in death was her husband, Sylvester Padilla, Sr.; her son, Jessie Padilla, Sr.; her brothers, Lasaro Morales and Gregorio Morales, Sr.; her sisters, Maria Morales, MaryAnn Morales and Inez Perez.
Victoria is survived by her two sons, Albert Botello of Wolfforth, Texas and Sylvester (Rocky) Padilla, Jr. of Lamesa, Texas; three daughters, Yolanda Padilla and Sylvia Padilla Casarez, both of Lamesa, Texas and Aurora Padilla of Buffalo, Texas. nineteen grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.
