VICTOR SALAZAR's Obituary
A Funeral Catholic mass will be celebrated for Victor Salazar age 72 of Midland, TX., at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church with Father George Poonely officiating. Burial will follow at the Dawson County Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the trusted and care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home.
The viewing will be held at Gonzales Funeral Home on Friday, July 10, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. with the Holy Rosary prayer service at 7:00 p.m.
Victor passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, in Midland, TX. He was born on June 23, 1954, in Warren, Minnesota
Victor was preceded in death by his father, Francisco Salazar, and his mother, Victoria Salazar; his daughter, Christine Salazar; his brothers, Ruben Salazar and Joe Garcia; his nephew, Frank Valdez, Jr.
Victor was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys. He enjoyed fishing, loved to eat at Lockhart, garage sales, and his family was his greatest creation.
Victor is survived by his children, son, Eric Salazar of Dallas, TX., daughters, Lauri Martinez, of Andrews, TX., Annarita Varela of Midland, TX., and Annabelle Pena of Marietta, Georgia; spouse, Martina Vela of Midland, TX.; brother, Frank Valdez of Fort Worth, TX.; sister, Janie Borjon of Midland, TX.; 11 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; numerous relatives and friends.
