TOMASA R. FERNANDEZ's Obituary
A Catholic funeral mass service will be celebrated for Tomasa R. Fernandez age 82 of O’Donnell, Texas at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 10, 2019 at St. Pius Catholic Church in O’Donnell, Texas with Father John Steven Rathinam and assisted by Deacon Simon Resendez. Burial will follow to the O’Donnell Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home.
Viewing will be held on Wednesday January 9, 2019 at St. Pius X Catholic Church starting at 5:00 p.m. and followed with a Rosary prayer service at 7:00 p.m.
Tomasa passed away on Sunday January 6, 2019 in O’Donnell, Texas. She was born on December 20, 1936 in Lytle, Texas. Tomasa and Paulino Fernandez, Sr. Started a life together in 1973 in San Antonio, Texas, and later married in 1982 in Tahoka, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Severo and Juanita Arguello.
Tomasa enjoyed flowers, gardening, spending time with her grandchildren, love her kitchen where she had a passion for cooking the best meals for her family, and enjoyed music. She was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church.
Tomasa is survived to cherish her memoryby her husband, Paulino Fernandez, Sr. of O’Donnell, Texas; her son, Paulino Fernandez, Jr. and wife, Kimberly Campbell of O’Donnell, Texas; her daughter, Maria Tomasa Fernandez and husband, Keith Garret Gilbert of O’Donnell, Texas; her precious grandchildren, Elijah Shugard, Isaiah Fernandez, Tomas Gilbert, Desiree Fernandez, and Marcus Fernandez; several friends.
