THERESA MENTZ's Obituary
A Catholic funeral mass will be celebrated for Theresa Mentz, age 75 of Lamesa, Texas at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church with Rev. James McCartney officiating and assisted by Deacon Daniel Valenzuela. Interment will follow in Dawson County Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home of Lamesa, Texas.
Viewing will be held on Tuesday with a Rosary service at 7:00 p.m. at Gonzales Funeral Home Chapel.
Theresa passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, February 4, 2017. She was born on October 8, 1941 in Lamesa. Theresa married John Mentz in 1992 in Lamesa. She was a retired school teacher. Theresa enjoyed spending time working in her garden along with her husband John.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Frank and Maude Delaney.
Theresa is survived by her family, her husband, John Mentz of Lamesa, Texas; her brothers, Jerry Delaney of Grapevine, Texas and Dyrel Delaney of Naples, Florida; her sister, Shannon McConnell and husband, Greg of Forth Worth, Texas; her personal caretaker, Rachel Baltazar of Lamesa, Texas.
