Memorial services to celebrate the life of Sylvia Acosta Padilla age 60 of Lamesa, TX. will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 14, 2023, at Gonzales Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Robert Cortez officiating. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home.
Sylvia passed away on Monday, December 26, 2022, in Lubbock, TX. She was born October 23, 1962, in Lamesa, TX.
Sylvia was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Padilla, Sr.; her parents, Raynaldo and Eufemia Acosta; her grand-daughter, Emily Gonzales; her great-grand-daughter, Emily Jade Gonzales.
Sylvia was a housewife, read the Bible, loved watching TV with Joyce Meyer, loved outdoor walks, plants, crocheting, cooking and loved to sing. She also loved her chihuahua Honey, and always had a smile on her face.
Sylvia is survived by her loving children, her daughters, Kriselda Gonzales and husband, Pete Gonzales of Midland, TX, and Jasel D’errico of Lubbock, TX.; her sons, Adrian Padilla and wife Eva Padilla, and Jesse Padilla, Jr. and wife Asencion Padilla, all of Lubbock, TX.; her sister, Diana Rodriguez and husband, Freddy Rodriguez of Lamesa, TX.; 14 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren; several aunts, uncles, relatives and friends.
