Funeral services for Sylvia Quesada Garcia, age 58 of Midland, Texas will be at 10:00a.m. on Friday, May 9, 2014 at the Brownfield Church of Christ, located at 502 Lubbock Road in Brownfield, Texas, with Pastor Marcelino Banda officiating. Burial will follow in Brownfield Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home of Lamesa, Texas.
On Wednesday, May 7th and Thursday, May 8th, the body will lie in state at the Christian Life Church, located at 1200 Tahoka Road in Brownfield, Texas, with Inspirational Services set for 7:00 p.m., the both evenings.
She was born on October 27, 1955 in Ballinger, Texas. Sylvia married Eleijo Jose Garcia on December 27, 1977 in Brownfield, Texas.
Sylvia was preceded in death by her parents, Patricio and Esperanza Quesada and one sister.
Survivors include her husband, Eleijo Joe Garcia from Midland, Texas; her sons, Carlos Garcia and wife, Savas of Midland, Texas, Michael Garcia and wife, Misty of Midland, Texas and Nicholas Garcia and wife Joni of Midland, Texas; her daughter, Stephanie Gunter and husband, Larmie of Abilene, Texas; her sisters, Delia Garza of Brownfield, Texas and Linda Fonseca of Brownfield, Texas, Gloria Martinez of Brownfield, Texas, Ninfa Valdez of Lubbock, Texas, Mary Garcia of Brownfield, Texas, Eva Orozco of Brighton, Colorado, Elizabeth I. Guerra of Lubbock, Texas and Isabelle Quesada of Lubbock, Texas; thirteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; numerous brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
