Santos Elizondo Uvalle Jr.'s Obituary
Graveside funeral service for Santos Elizondo Uvalle, Jr., age 75 of Houston, Texas will be at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, February 23, 2015 at Dawson County Cemetery with Deacon Daniel Valenzuela officiating. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home of Lamesa, Texas. Visitation will be on Sunday, February 22, 2015 from 10:00 a.m.until 9:00 p.m. A Rosary will also be recited by Deacon Daniel Valenzuelaon Sunday at 6:00 p.m., along with an inspirational service offered by Pastor Lee Iglesias.
Mr. Uvalle died on February 19, 2015 at Kindred Hospital in Houston, Texas. Santos was born on March 29, 1939 in Laredo, Texas. He married Andrea Iglesias on May 6, 1957 in Hobbs, NM. Santos was a truck driver until his retirement.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Santoa Uvalle, Sr. and Thomasa Elizondo Uvalle; brothers, Francisco Uvalle and Antonio Uvalle.
Santos is survived by his family, his wife, Andrea Uvalle of Lamesaa, Texas; his sons, Santos Uvalle III of Andrews, Texas and Sebastian Uvalle of Odessa, Texas; his daughters, Susana Valenzuela, Elida Villafranco, Leticia Valdez, all of Lamesa, Texas; his sisters, Odelia Orozco of Texaco, NW and Rosario Uvalle of San Antonio, Texas; 24 grandchildren; 51 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild.
