ROSA REYES SOROLA's Obituary
A Catholic funeral mass will be celebrated for Rosa Reyes Sorola age 84 of Lamesa, TX. at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday July 21, 2020 at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church with Father ChackoThadathil officiating. Burial committal will follow to the Dawson County Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Gonales Funeral Home of Lamesa, TX.
Visitation and viewing will be held on Sunday July 19, 2020 and Monday July 20. 2020 at Gonzales Funeral home Chapel. Rosary prayer services will be held at 7:00 p.m. at Gonzales Funeral Home Chapel. Rosa passed away on Friday July 17, 2020 in Lubbock, TX. She was born on October 8, 1936 in Seguin. Rosa was married to Eugenio Sorola.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Carlos Reyes and Virginia Hernandez Reyes; brother, Juan Reyes; her sisters, Julia Sanchez, Maira De Jesus Duran, Maria Ester Garcia, and Lupe Moreno.
Rosa was a member of St. Margaret Mary Cathoic Church for many years. She was a member of the church organization of Las Guadalupanas and also sang in the church choir. Rosay enjoyed crafts, gardening, and spending precious time with her grandchildren and family.
Rosa is survived by her husband Eugenio Sorola of Lamesa, TX; her daughter, Josie G. Uresti and husband, Robert Uresti of Lamesa; her son, Daniel R. Garcia and wife, Sylvia Garcia of Lubbock, TX.; her sisters, San Juana Garza of Seagraves, TX., Alta Gracia Moreno of McAllen, TX., Jimmie Reyes Ramirez, and Helen “Hela” Sanchez, both of Lamesa; 5 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; numerous relatives and friends.
