Funeral services for Rosa Linda Perez age 64 of Lamesa, TX. will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 9, 2026, at the Lamesa Church of Christ with Minister Mark Hackett officiating. The burial committal will follow at the Dawson County Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the trusted care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home.
The viewing will be held at Gonzales Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Thursday, January 8, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Rosa Linda passed away in Lubbock, TX. on Monday, January 5, 2026, surrounded by her devoted and loving family. She was born on March 18, 1961, in Karnes City, TX. Rosa Linda married Ignacio Perez on May 20, 1983, in Lamesa, TX.
Rosa Linda was preceded in death by her husband, Ignacio Perez; father, Faustino Vasquez, mother, Isidra Vasquez; her sisters, Juana Sanchez, Gloria Garcia, Marialenna Vasquez; her brothers, Vicente Vasquez, Ray Vasquez, Jesse Vasquez, Rubert Vasquez; grandson, Cortez baby.
Rosa Linda loved her family and enjoyed cooking, cleaning, and taking care of others and spending time with her grandchildren, always there ready to help and welcome anyone in her house.
Rosa Linda is survived by her daughters, Monica Sauseda and husband Austin Sauseda of Lubbock, TX., and Donna Cortez and husband Gavino Cortez of Lubbock, TX., Stephanie McDonald and husband Demetrius McDonald of Colorado; son Alfonso Perez of Lamesa, TX.; and niece/daughter, Nayeli Vasquez of Lamesa, TX.; grandchildren, A.J., Xavier, Serenity, Maddison, Arrianna, Mathaniel, Aiden Sauseda, and Josiah, Kane Perez of Lamesa, TX.; and Eternity, Destiny Cortez of Lubbock, TX., Kristen and Payton Padilla of Colorado; brothers, Faustino Vasques, Jr.(Une) of Lamesa, TX., Francisco (Pancho) Vasquez of Lamesa, TX.; Joe and Leticia Vasquez of Lamesa, TX.; niece/sister, Josie and Juan Caudillo of San Angelo, TX.;4 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
