Rodolfo (Rudy) Leibas' Obituary
A Catholic funeral mass will be celebrated for Rodolfo (Rudy) Leibas, age 72 of Lamesa, Texas on Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Father Joseph Kurumbel officiating. Buial will follow to Dawson County Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home of Lamesa, Texas.
A Rosary service will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday at Gonzales Funeral Home Chapel.
Rudy passed away on Friday, April 8, 2016 at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock, Texas.He was born on September 5, 1943 in Austin, Texas. Rudy married Bidala Longoria on January 29, 1993 in Lamesa, Texas.
Rudy was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp serving during the Viet Nam war. Rudy was a true patriot. He volunteered at the Dawson County Christian Food Pantry. Rudy attended faithfully his beloved church Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.
Rudy is survived by his wife, Bidala Leibas of Lamesa, Texas; son, Rodolfo Leibas, Jr. of California;
step-son, Ricardo Maldonado of Leesville, LA; daughter, Renee Leibas of California; brothers, Ignacion Leibas, Tony Leibas, both of Austin, Texas; sisters, Beatrice Diaz, Nora Flores, both of Austin, Texas; 5 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren.
