ROBERTO R. LERMA's Obituary
A Memorial mass service of Christian burial will be celebrated for Roberto R. Lerma age 80 at 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 16, 2018 at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church with Father Joseph Kurumbel officiating. Interment will follow to Dawson County Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home.
A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday November 15, 2018 at Gonzales Funeral Home.
Roberto, of Alma, MI, and formerly of Lamesa, Texas, passed away Friday, September 28, 2018 at the Schnepp Senior Care and Rehab Center in St. Louis, MI. Roberto was born June 7, 1938 in Edingburg, TX., the son of Juan and San Juanita (Rosales) Lerma. He married Isabel Minerva Vargas on April 15, 1963. Roberto was a member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Lamesa. He enjoyed cooking, playing jokes, muisc and had a giving heart for those in need.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Isabel, infant sons, Roberto, Jr. and Jesus and 4 brothers.
Roberto is survived by his children, his two daughters, Juanita Lerma of Big Spring, TX., and Diana Jimenez of Round Heights, IL; his son, Juan Miguel Lerma of Lubbock, TX.; grandchildren, Gabriel Aranjo of Morenci, MI., Annette Aranjo of Lamesa, TX.; great-grandchildren, Evelyn of Big Spring, TX., Cicely of Coahoma, TX., Giovanni, Yahaira, Natalia, all of Morenci, MI.; sister, Socorro Lerma of Alma MI. ; several nieces and nephews.
