I met Robert at Klondike school in 1968. I was new to the school and felt out of place. I had gone to Lamesa schools all my life. Robert was the first one that spoke to me and befriended me. As time went by he was my only friend there. There were some bully's there and he protected me from them at his word they left me alone. After all these years, when I returned to Lamesa I would run into Robert. We would catch up and we went our way. He was always kind. I truly believe he is at peace. Thank you Robert for your friendship.
