A Catholic Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Robert (Bobby) Garza age 58 of Lamesa, TX., at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, May 4, 2024, at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church with Fr. Chacko officiating. The burial will follow at the Dawson County Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the trusted care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home.
The viewing will be held at Gonzles Funeral Home on Thursday, May 2, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m., and Friday, May 3, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary prayer service on Friday starting at 7:00 p.m. at Gonzales Funeral Home Chapel.
Bobby passed away at his home in Lamesa TX., surrounded by his family on Monday, April 29, 2024. He was born September 20, 1965, in Des Plaines, IL. Bobby married Eva Barrera on June 25, 2022, in Lamesa, TX.
Bobby was preceded in death by his father, Ricardo Garza, his grandparents, two uncles, and 3 aunts.
Bobby was loved by all his family. He enjoyed music, football, and spending precious time with family. Bobby worked many years in the oilfields and loved his job. Bobby was a loving Grandpa.
Bobby is survived by his wife, Eva Barrera Garza of Lamesa, TX.; his son, Robert Garza, Jr. of Midland, TX.; his daughters, Krystacia Barrera of Lamesa, TX., Kimberly Castilla of Midland, TX., and daughter-in-law, Cristina Garza of Midland, TX.; his mother, Susie Garza of Lamesa, TX.; his brothers, Richard Garza of Kansas, Victor Garza of Colorado, Uvaldo Garza Lamesa, TX., Charlie Garza of Midland, TX., Larry Garza of Lamesa, TX.; his sisters, Norma G. Ramos Colorado, Sandie Garza of Lamesa, TX., and Prissy Garza of Colorado; 11 grandchildren; and numerous relatives and friends.
