RAY ALLEN LEWIS's Obituary
Funeral services for Ray Allen Lewis age 62 of Lamesa, Texas will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday September 2, 2017 at Mount Olive Baptist Church in Lamesa with the Rev. Ira Kelly officiating. Interment will follow to Dawson County Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home of Lamesa, Texas.
Viewing will be on Thursday and Friday with a family visitation hour on Friday from 7:00pm to 8:00p.m. at Gonzales Funeral Home.
Ray passed away on Monday August 28, 2017 at his home is Lamesa. He was born on September 21, 1954 in Lamesa. Ray married Gwen Butts in 1970.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lonnie and Verline Lewis; his brother, Jerry Lewis; his sisters, Jannie Jenkins and Juddie Edwards.
Ray was employed by Pedroza's Restaurant. He was a big Dallas Cowboys fan!
Ray is survived by his family, his sons, Chris Perry of New Jersey, Corey Allen Lewis of Fort Worth, Texas, Ray Allen Lewis, Jr. of Riverside, CA.; his daughters, Lavonda Perry of New Jersey, Janice Major of Fort Worth, Texas, LaWanda Warner of Fort Worth, Texas, Katrina Johnson of Lubbock, Texas; his sisters, Darlene Lewis of Lamesa, Texas, Linda Bolton of Lamesa, Texas, Mary Walton of Duncanville, Texas, Etta Butler of Albuquerque, NM.; fourteen grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a host of family relatives and friends.
