RAUL (Rudy) T. CAMPOS's Obituary
A Catholic funeral mass service will be celebrated for Raul (Rudy) T. Campos age 68 of Lamesa, Texas, at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, August 2, 2018 at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church with Father Joseph Kurumbel officiating. Interment will follow with US Military Honors to Dawson County Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home.
Viewing will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday with Rosary services at 7:00 p.m. at Gonzales Funeral Home Chapel.
Rudy passed away on Saturday, July 28, 2018 in Lubbock. He was born on August 9, 1949 in Lamesa. Rudy married Sylvia Vasquez on December 19, 1973 in Lampasas, Texas.
Rudy was preceded in death by his father and mother, Jesus M. Campos and Maria T. Campos.
Rudy enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and especially family time. He was a veteran of the US ARMY having served during Viet Nam war.
Rudy is survived by his wife, Sylvia Campos of Lamesa; his daughters, Pressy Garcia of Austin, Texas and Veronica Campos and husband Eddie of Lamesa; his sons, Rudy Campos, Jr. and wife, Rachel of Lamesa and Ryan Campos of Lamesa; his brothers, Juan Campos of Houston, Texas, Anselmo Campos, Sr. and Jesus R. Campos, both of Big Spring, Texas; his sisters, Aurora Campos of Lamesa, Anita Perez of Midland, Texas, and Lydia Moreno of Carlsdad, NM.; ten grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers, Ryan Campos, Matthew Rodriguez, Rudy Campos III, Jeremiah Campos, Amador Verastequi, Anthony Morales.
