Chapel funeral services for Pedro Salazar, Sr. age 99 of Lamesa will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at Gonzales Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Larry Gamez officiating. Interment will follow to Dawson County Cemetery. Funeral arrangments are under the care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home.
Pedro passed away on Satruday, March 17, 2018 in Lamesa. He was born on May 14, 1918. Pedro married Santos Nunez in 1943 in Lamesa.
Pedro was preceded in death by his wife, Santos N. Salazar on August 22, 2013; his parents Cresensio and Fidela Salazar; his brothers, Alejos Salazar, Erasmo Salazar, Ricardo Salazar, Sr.; his sister, Lupe Ramirez;
Pedro was a retired farmer and a veteran of the US Army having served during War World II.
Pedro is survived by his son, Pedro (Pete) N. Salazar of Lamesa; his daughter, Julia N. Salazar of Lamesa; his brother, Jesse Salazar of Phoenix, AZ.; his sisters, Martina, Ofelia Gonzales of Lubbock, TX. and Odelia Luna of Lamesa. Several relatives and friends.
