PEDRO (PETE) RAMOS JR.'s Obituary
A Celebration of Life funeral services for Pedro (Pete) Ramos, Jr. age 68 of Colorado City, TX. and formally of Lamesa, TX., will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, November 10, 2025, at the church of Templo Elim in Lamesa. The burial committal will follow to the Dawson County Cemetery. The funeral arrangements are under the trusted care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home.
The viewing will be held at Gonzales Funeral Home on Saturday, November 8, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., and Sunday, November 9, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Pete was called home by his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ surrounded by his loving family on Friday, November 7, 2025, in Abilene, TX. He was born on February 10, 1957, in Lamesa, TX.
Pete was preceded in death by his father, Pedro Ramos, Sr., and his mother, Beatrice Ramos; his brothers, Juan Ramos, Tony Ramos, Guadalupe (Pito) Ramos; his sister, Beatrice.
Mr. Ramos was a heavy-duty equipment operator working on farms and driving semi-trucks for most of his adult life. His hobbies included inventing and engineering implements, but his true passion was singing and playing music for the Lord. He was a member of the CCC Club.
Pete is survived by two special ladies, Cecilia Ramos of Lamesa, TX., and Benita Lujan of Midland, TX.; his sons, Pete Ramos of Colorado City, TX., and Ruben Ramos of Waco, TX.; his daughter, Veronica Ramos of Lubbock, TX.; his daughters-in-law, Jessica Ramos of Colorado City, TX., and Belinda Ramos of Waco, TX.; 7 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren; numerous relatives and friends, and countless brothers and sisters in Christ.
