Funeral services for Paulette Jenkins age 72 of Lamesa, Texas will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday May 30, 2017 at Ebenezer Baptist Church in Lamesa with Pastor Arvin Medlock officiating. Interment will follow to Dawson County Cemetery with US Military funeral honors. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home of Lamesa, Texas.
Family visitation hour will be 6:00 p.m. to 8:00p.m. on Monday May 29, 2017 at Gonzales Funeral Home Chapel. Paulette passed away at her home in Lamesa on Tuesday May 23, 2017. She was born on March 25, 1945 in Lamesa, Texas. Paulette married Harden T. Jenkins on January 10, 1970 in Lamesa. She was a veteran of the US ARMY with the rank of Sergeant. She was a custom seamtress, dedicated mother and grandmother, she loved to cook and spend times with her family and friends. Paulette was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Gladys Alexander; her brother, Fred Alexander, Jr.; her sisters, Freddie Alexander, Shirley Scott, Annie Ruth Alexander. Paulette is survived by her loving family, her husband, Harden Jenkins of Lamesa, Texas; her daughters, Chiva Jenkins and Denitrice, both of Lamesa, Texas; her brothers, Marvin Alexander of Denver, CO. and Steve Alexander of Lamesa, Texas; her sisters, Louise Hamilton of Houston, Texas, Mary Richards, Iris Collins, Betty Mitchell and Larry, Sherry Alexander, Debra Alexander, all of Lamesa, Texas; five grandchldren; one great-grandchild; a host of family relatives and friends.
