Funeral services to celebrate the life of Patricio F. (Ticho) Hernandez age 64 of Lamesa, TX. will be held 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, May 25, 2025, at Gonzales Funeral Home Chapel with Michael Hernandez officiating. The burial committal will follow at the Dawson County Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the trusted care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home.
The viewing was held on Friday, May 23, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., and Saturday, May 24, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m.
Patricio passed away on Thursday, May 22, 2025, with his beloved wife Bernice by his side in Tahoka, TX. He was born on August 3, 1960, in Lamesa, TX. Patricio married Bernice Hernandez in April of 2007 in Lamesa, TX.
Patricio is preceded in death by his son, Rene Hernandez; father, Pedro Hernandez, Sr.; brother, Manuel Hernandez.
Ticho cherished and loved the love of his life, his wife Bernice. He never spoke badly of anyone. He loved to cruise around town in his little red truck. Ticho never met a stranger. He would give you the shirt off is back. He enjoyed listening to the oldies music and loved watching the Texas Longhorns football and the Dallas Cowboys football games. He enjoyed car shows. He cherished his granddaughter, Destiny. He also loved his little dog “Way”. Ticho will be greatly missed by all his loving family and those who knew him. We know the LORD smiled as he entered the Gates of Heaven. Psalms 91.
Patricio is survived by his wife, Bernice Hernandez of Lamesa, TX.; his mother, Hortencia Hernandez of Lamesa, TX.; his children, Josh, Kriselda, Jacob, Isabella, Jennifer, Sash, Levie, and Jeremiah; his step-children, Eli Hernandez and wife Debbie, Jimmy Hernandez and wife Serena, Ray Hernandez, Daniel Hernanez, and Jackie Hernandez; sister, Isabel Hernandez; brothers, Tony Hernandez, Eddie Hernandez, Pedro Hernandez, Jr., Max Hernandez, and Felipe Hernandez; 45 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren; numerous relatives and friends.
