PASCUAL ACEVEDO's Obituary
A Catholic funeral mass of Christian burial will be celebrated for Pascual Acevedo age 69 of Lamesa, TX., at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 6, 2022, at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church with celebrant Fr. Chacko Thadathil officiating. Burial committal will followed to the Dawson County Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home.
Visitation and viewing will be held on Monday, December 5, 2022 from 9: 00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m., with Rosary prayer service starting at 7:00 p.m. at Gonzales Funeral Home Chapel.
Pascual passed away at his residence on Friday, December 2, 2022 in Lamesa, TX. He was born July 6, 1953 in Zacatecas, Mexico. Pascual married Maria Acevedo on August 20, 1972 in Durango, Mexico.
Pascual is preceded in death by his father, Refugio Acevedo, and his mother, Piedad Villa; his siblings, Jose Cleofas Acevedo, Nicolas Acevedo, Simon Acevedo; his sister, Angelita Acevedo
Pascual worked most of his life in farming in both Mexico and the United States. He enjoyed music, visiting the Casino, loved spending time with his grandchildren, and loved a “good cup of coffee”. Pascual was a happy man and was dedicated to his loving family.
Pascual is survived by his wife, Maria Acevedo of Lamesa, TX.; his sons, Antonio Acevedo of Mexico, Pascual Acevedo, Jr. of Ft. Worth, TX., and Bernardo Acevedo of Lamesa, TX.; his daughters, his daughters, Olivia Acevedo of Mexico, Maria R. Acevedo, Luz Acevedo, and Maria Cruz Acevedo, all of Lamesa, TX.; his brothers, Fidel Acevedo of Lamesa, TX., Jose Acevedo of Tijuana, and Marcos Acevedo of Oklahoma; 9 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
