Chapel funeral services for Olivia Gonzales, age 78 of Welch, Texas will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 28, 2017 at Gonzales Funeral Home Chapels with Pastors, Joe and Irene Martinez officiating. Interment will follow in Dawson County Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home of Lamesa, Texas.
Viewing and visitation were held on Wednesday and Thursday at Gonzales Funeral Home.
Olivia passed away on Sunday, January 22, 2017 in Brownfield, Texas. She was born on December 18, 1938 in Yorktown, Texas. Olivia was a homemaker who enjoyed quilting, sewing, rejoiced in praising God daily, but most of all she enjoyed her family time.
Olivia was preceded in death by her parentsm, Salomon and Rufina Hernandez; her brothers, Augustine Hernandez, Manuel Hernandez and Joe Hernandez; her sister, Janie Rios.
Suvivors includes her son, Lucas Gonzales and wife, Leticia Garcia of Brownfield, Texas; her brother, Arturo Hernandez of Dallas, Texas; her sister, Maria Basquez of Levelland, Texas; five grandchildren.
