Chapel funeral services for Minerva Sanchez Arredondo age 67 of Lamesa, TX. will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday October 30, 2020 at Gonzales Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tracy Gutierrez officiating. Burial committal will follow to the Dawson County Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home. Facial masks are required at the funeral home. Due to the current area Covid-19 situation we continue to practice public safety measures.
Viewing and visitation will be held at Gonzales Funeral Home on Thursday October 29, 2020 from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.
Minerva passed away on Monday October 19, 2020 in Lubbock, TX. She was born on June 6, 1953 in Lamesa, TX.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Edwina Sanchez, her father, Domingo Hernandez; her brother, Johnny Manuel Gonzales; her sister, Marcelina Torres; her grandparents, Benito and Irene Sanchez.
Minerva worked at the Dawson County Senior Citizens Center for numerous years. She loved to “hang out” with family and friends.
Minerva is survived by her sons, Michael Sanchez and daughter-in-law, Lauri Sanchez, Robert Joe Sanchez and daughter-in-law, Lori Sanchez, Hector Sanchez, all of Lamesa, TX. and Johnny Joe Reyes and daughter-in-law, Maria Reyes of Euless, TX.; her daughters, Mary Ann Gutierrez of Lamesa, TX. and Marisa Gonzales of Odessa, TX.; her brothers, Norberto Sanchez of Lamesa, TX., and Frank Salazar of Lubbock, TX.; her sister, Anna Sanchez of Odessa, TX.; 23 grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren; several relatives and friends.
