Martin G. Sanchez's Obituary
A Catholic funeral mass will be celebrated for Martin G. Sanchez, age 54 of Lubbock, Texas, at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at St. Pius X Catholic Church in O'Donnell, Texas with Father Edwardo Teo officiating and assisted by Deacon Simon Resendez. Burial will follow to the O'Donnell Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home of Lamesa, Texas.
Viewing and visitation will be at St. Pius X Catholic Church on Tuesday, November 17, 2015 with a Rosary service at 7:00p.m.
Martin died on Thursday, November 12, 2015 as his home in Lubbock, Texas. He was born on December 4, 1960 in Dimmitt, Texas. Martin had a great passion of riding his Harley-Davison motorcyle with his friends. He enjoyed wathcing football and loved spending time and spoiling his grandchildren, Sonya, Patric, Avery.
Martin was preceded in death by son, Martin Sanchez, Jr.; his parents, Lee Sanchez, Sr. and Elvira Sanchez; his brothers,Joe Sanchez and Fernando Gonzales.
Martin is survived by his loving family, his daughter, Marlisse Garcia of Lubbock, Texas; his brothers, Bobby Sanchez of Lubbock, Texas, Lee Sanchez III of O'Donnell, Texas, Steve Serrato of Baird, NE, George Jimenez of Seagraves, Texas, Charles Sanchez of Rio Grande City, Texas; his sisters, Nora Sanchez of Katy, Texas, Celestina Salinas of Glydon, MN, Lily Trevino of Dilworth,m MN, Tina Coggins of Dilworth, MN, Fanny Nitchman of Houston, Texas, Anna Wondur of Torington, WY; three grandchildren; a host of friends and relatives.
