A Catholic funeral service mass will be celebrated for Maria Dolores ( Lola ) Ramirez, age 91 of Big Spring, Texas at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, August 17, 2015 at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church with Father Joseph Thanavelil officiating. Burial will follow to Lamesa Memorial Park cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home of Lamesa,Texas.
A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 16, 2015 at Gonzales Funeral Home Chapel.
Maria Dolores passed away on Thursday, August 13, 2015 at Stanton Nursing Home.
Lola was born on April 22, 1924 in Laredo, Texas to Silvestre Torres and Maria Dolores Chavez. She married Alfredo Ramirez on June 20, 1946 in Lamesa, Texas.
Preceded her in death was her husband, Alfredo Ramirez on December 21, 2003; her parents and all her siblings.
Maria Dolores "Lola" was a homemaker.
Lola is survived by her loving family, her daughters, Olivia Gonzales and husband, Lupe of Lamesa, Texas and Janie Deleon and husband, Ray of Big Spring, Texas; her son, Rudy Ramirez and wife, Phyllis of Odessa, Texas; 10 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; 21 great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
