Maria Molina's Obituary
A Catholic funeral mass will be celebrated for Maria Molina, age 94 of Lamesa, Texas at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church with Father Joseph Kurumbel officiating and Deacon Daniel Valenzuela. Burial will follow to Dawson County Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home of Lamesa, Texas.
A Rosary will be recited on Monday evening at 7:00 p.m. at Gonzales Funeral Home.
She passed away Saturday, April 16, 2016 at her residence in Lamesa. She was born on January 3, 1922 in Falls City, Texas to Mariano and Guadalupe Chapa. Maria married Jose C. Molina on November 1944.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jose C. Molina; her parents, Mariano and Guadalupe Chapa; her daughter, Lillie; her brothers.
Maria loved to cook special meals for her family and she had a passion for her yardwork. Maria believed that God and family always came first.
Survivors includes her son, Joe Molina and wife, Mille of Midland, Texas; her daughters, Venita Salazar and husband, Geno of Lamesa, Texas, Sylvia Carrion and husband, Alex of Lamesa, Texas; son-in-law, Martin Casarez and wife, Lydia of O'Donnell, Texas; 6 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchildren.
