A Catholic Funeral Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated for Maria M. Hernandez age 74 of Lubbock, TX. at 1:00 p.m., on Thursday, May 1, 2025, at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church with Father Sylvester Dsouza officiating. The burial committal will follow to the Dawson County Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the trusted care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home.
The viewing will be held at Gonzales Funeral Home from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, and on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, with a Rosary prayer service at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday at Gonzales Funeral Home Chapel.
Maria passed away on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, in Lubbock, TX surrounded by her family. She was born on November 7, 1950 in O’Donnell, TX.
Maria enjoyed cooking, her beautiful roses and watching her favorite Novelas TV shows.
Maria is survived by her loving family, her daughter, Felicitas Montes of Lubbock, TX; her two sons, Damian Hernandez of Sundown, TX., and Ramiro Hernandez of Lubbock, TX.; 14 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren; several relatives and friends.
