Funeral services for Margarita Rodriguez, age 79 of Lamesa, Texas will be celebrated with a Catholic funeral mass at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 19, 2015 at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church with Father Edwardo Teo officiating. Burial will follow to Dawson County Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home of Lamesa, Texas.
A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday and Friday nights with an Inspirational Worship service and music following the Rosary at Gonzales Funeral Home Chapel.
Margarita passed away on Tuesday, September 15, 2015 in Lubbock, Texas. She was born on February 22, 1936 in Karnes City, Texas. She married Modesto Rodriguez on September 22, 1951 in Gonzales, Texas.
Margarita loved spending time with her loving family, enjoyed dancing and was a great homemaker.
Margarita was preceded in death by her husband, Modesto Rodriguez, Sr.; her parents, Remigio and Andrea Perez; her sons, Modesto Rodriguez, Jr., Mike Rodriguez; her daughter, Diana Perez; her grandson, Modesto Rodriguez III.
Margarita is survived by her family, her daughters, Sylvia Uresti, Yolanda Molina, Gloria Rodriquez, all of Lamesa, Texas; her sons, Andreque Rick Rodriguez, Javier Rodriguez, both of Snyder, Texas, Martin Rodriguez of Lamesa, Texas, Roy Rodriguez of Hereford, Texas, Arthur Rodriguez of Amarillo, Texas; 41 grandchildren; 89 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren.
