A Memorial service for Marcos H. Ramirez, age 80 of Lamesa, Texas will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday February 13, 2017 at First Baptist Church of Lamesa with Rev. Jim Medley officiating. An interment graveside service will follow in Dawson County Cemetery. Memorial and Graveside services are under the care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home of Lamesa, Texas.
Marcos passed away on Wednesday February 8, 2017 in Lamesa, Texas. He was born on April 25, 1936 in Karnes City, Texas. Marcos married Ramona Viasana in 1966 in Lamesa.
Marcos was a retired professional roofer. He would stay busy working around his yard and had a passion baking the best Pecan pies.
He was preceded in death by his father Ramon Ramirez and his mother, Casimira Ramirez Aguirre; his step-son, Larry Barrera; his sister, Anastacia Ramirez.
Survivors includes his wife, Ramona Ramirez of Lamesa, Texas; his sons, Albert Ramirez and Manuel Ramirez, both of Lamesa, Texas; his daughters, Anita Ramirez, Lucy R. Cortez, Alice R. Rodriguez, all of Lamesa, Texas and Yolanda B. Mai of Forth Worth, Texas; his step-sons, John Barrera and Danny Barrera, both of Lamesa, Texas; twenty-two grandchildren; his sisters, Hilaria Flores and Adilaida Mojica, both of Lamesa, Texas.
