LUPE H. OLVERA's Obituary
PLEASE NOTICE:
Memorial and Graveside funeral services for Lupe H. Olvera age 61 of Lamesa, TX. will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 17, 2021 at the Dawson County Cemetery with Pastor Jeremiah Aguayo officiating. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home. Due to area Covid-19 situations we continue with public safety, and face masks are required at the funeral home and cemetery together with social distancing.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 17, 2021. Family and friends will gather from 9:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m., then will follow in funeral procession to the Dawson County Cemetery
Lupe passed away on Saturday, December 5, 2020 in Midland, TX. She was born on February 11, 1959 in San Antonio, TX. Lupe married Moises Miguel Olvera in 1982 in Lamesa, TX.
She was preceded in death her husband, Moises Miguel Olvera; her son, Rene Soto; her parents, Ernesto and Lucia Hernandez; her sister, Amanda Gonzales; her brothers, Felix Hernandez, and Daniel Hernandez.
Lupe was a caregiver. Not only did she do it with so much love as her profession, but she was an amazing and loving caregiver at home with her children, and grandchildren. She enjoyed spending precious time with her family playing fun games like, Dominoes, and Mexican Bingo. She loved watching her Tele-novelas and talking on the phone with those she loved dearly. Lupe was a beloved sister, “one in a million” type of mother to so many, unforgettable grandma, loving aunt and an irreplaceable type of friend. There wasn’t anything that would stop her from helping her family and those close to her. She had a giving heart and a loving soul.
Lupe is survived by her loving family, her daughters, Monica Soto, and Mary Serda, both of Lamesa, TX., and JoAnn Olvera of Big Spring, TX.; her son, Miguel Olvera of Lamesa, TX.; her brothers, David Hernandez, and Jaune (Johnny) Hernandez, both of Lamesa, TX., and Joe Hernandez of Slaton, TX.; 10 grandchildren; numerous relatives and friends.
