Luis L. Cortez's Obituary
A funeral service to celebrate the life of Luis L. Cortez, age 47 of Lamesa, Texas will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 29, 2013 with Pastor Gene Salazar officiating. Burial will follow at Dawson County Cemetery under the direction of Gonzales Funeral Home.
Luis passed away on Wednesday, June 26, 2013 at the Brownfield Rehabilitation Center in Brownfield, Texas. He was born on August 27, 1965 in Brownfield, Texas.
Preceded him in death was his grandfather, Melquiades, Cortez; one uncle, Jesus "Jesse" Cortez.
Luis is survived by his parents, Daniel and Angelita Cortez, Sr. of Lamesa, Texas; four brothers, Carlos Cortez of Abeline, Texas, Ramon Cortez and Samuel Cortez, both of Lamesa, Texas and Daniel Cortez, Jr. of Greenwood, Texas; two sisters, Sara O'Balle and Martha Villagrana, both of Lamesa, Texas.
