Lucy Moreno's Obituary
A Catholic funeral mass will be celebrated for Lucy Moreno, age 47 of Lamesa, Texas at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, January 16, 2017 at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church with Father John Steven Rathinam officiating with Deacon Daniel Valenzuela assisting. Interment will follow in Dawson County Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home of Lamesa, Texas.
Viewing and visitation will be held on Saturday and Sunday at Gonzales Funeral Home with a 7:00 p.m. Rosary service prayed by "Las Guadalupanas" each night at Gonzales Funeral Home Chapel.
Lucy passed away very peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Friday, January 13, 2017 at Midland Memorial Hospital in Midland, Texas. She was born on April 19, 1969 in Lamesa, Texas.
Luch attended and graduated from Lamesa High School. She worked several years as a correctional officer with TDCJ/Texas Department of Criminal Justice Preston E. Smith Unit in Lamesa until she switched occupations to become a public transporation driver with West Texas Opportunities in Lamesa, Texas, a position whiche she enjoyed. Lucy's favorite "pass-time" was spending precious time with family and friends... and enjoying her Dallas Cowboys.
Lucy was preceded in death by her father and mother, Antonio Moreno, Sr. and Anastacia Moreno; her brothers, Frank Paradez and Lupe Moreno.
Survivors includes her loving family, her brothers, Antonio (Tony) Moreno, Jr. and wife, Lisa Moreno of Lamesa, Texas, Eusebio Moreno and wife, Christina Moreno of Lamesa, Texas; several nieces, nephews, many family relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be, Jonathan Cuellar, Frankie Solis, Gilbert Ramos, Jr., Antonio Moreno III, Tony Casarez, Christopher Garza, Emilio Sanchez, Jr., Amber Paradez, Natalie Moreno.
