LUCA OCEAN TIJERINA's Obituary
A Catholic funeral mass of Christian burial will be celebrated for Luca Ocean Tijerina age 7 of Lamesa, Texas, at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church with Celebrant Father Sylvester Dsouza officiating. The burial committal will follow to the Dawson County Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the trusted care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home.
The viewing and visitation will be held at Gonzales Funeral Home on Sunday, March 1, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., and on Monday, March 2, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary Prayer service on Monday starting at 7:00 p.m. at Gonzales Funeral Home Chapel.
Luca passed away on Thursday, February 19, 2026, in Martin County, TX. He was born on December 11, 2018, in Levelland, TX.
Luca was preceded in death by his sister, Emily Marie Tijerina, and his grandmother, Rosa Garza Tijerina.
Luca was a loving caring kid; he was always sociable to whoever he crossed paths with. Luca loved his family, friends, and his animals, playing games, and going to school at South Elementary. He was a great kid inside and out; he was loved by so many people and will forever be missed. He lived large and left a lasting legacy.
Luca is survived by his mother, Sara Garza, and his father, Carlos Tijerina, Jr. of Lames, TX.; his sister, Evelyn Tijerina, and his brother, Elijah Tijerina, both of Lamesa, TX.; his grandfather, Carlos Tijerina, Sr. of Lamesa, TX.; his grandparents, George and Connie Garza of Lamesa, TX.; his aunts, Tabrina Tijerina, and Delilah Tijerina Prieto, both of Lamesa, TX.; his niece, Legacy Alayah Tijerina; numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
