LOVETA VIRGINIA TODD's Obituary
Family and friends will gather for a graveside service in loving memory of Loveta Virginia Todd age 82 of Lamesa, Texas at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at the Dawson County Cemetery with Pastor Keith Carter officiating. Funeral arrangements are under the trusted care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home.
Viewing will be held at Gonzales Funeral Home on Sunday, July 26, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and on Monday, July 27, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. with family visitation hours from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Loveta passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Sunday, July 19, 2026, at her home in Lamesa, Texas. She was born on July 12, 1944, in Lamesa. Loveta married Jerry Glenn Todd on April 14, 1962, in Lamesa, TX.
Loveta was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry G. Todd; her parents, James Anthony and Arlis Clement; her brothers, J. L. Anthony, Clyde Anthony, and Dean Anthony, also her sister-in-law, Pam Anthony; her grand-daughter, Sandra Miller.
Leveta was the head-cashier at United for over 20 years until she retired. She was a faithful member of Northside Baptist Church where she loved singing in the church. She enjoyed helping raise her grandsons. She loved her family fiercely.
Loveta is survived by her loving family, her son, Jerry W. Todd (Stacey McGee) of Lamesa, Texas; her daughters, Judy Todd, and Sherry Mitchell (Brandon Mitchell) of Lamesa, Texas; her grandsons, Cody Miller (Selena), Trey Miller (Kayla Miller), and John Mitchell; her great-grandsons, Logan Miller (Cheyenne), and Jaxson Miller; several relatives and friends.
