Chapel funeral services fro Lobano Hernandez, Jr., age 68, of Lamesa, Texas will be held on Monday, May 23, 2016 at 10:00 a.m., at Gonzales Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Lee Iglesias officiating. Interment will follow to Dawson County Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home of Lamesa, Texas.
Viewing will be held on Sunday, May 22, 2016 at Gonzales Funeral Home with an Inspirational Service set at 6:00 p.m.
Lobano passed away Thursday, May 19, 2016 in Lamesa. He was born May 18, 1948 in Mathis, TX. to Lobano Hernandez, Sr. and Julia (Garza) Hernandez. He married Mary Lou Barrioz in Malakoff. She preceded him in death in 2009. Lobano was a talented craftsman and he enjoyed making knives and canes.
Lobano is survived by his children, Jesse Hernandez and wife, Barbarita, David Hernandez and wife, Veronica, and Pedro Hernandez, all of Lamesa, TX.; his brothers, Oscar Hernandez and wife, Kay of Trinidad, TX., Ricky Hernandez and wife, Judy of Trinidad, TX., and Robert Hernandez and wife, Wanda of Malakoff, TX.; his sister, Diana Stolle and husband, Paul of White Oak, TX.; 11 grandchildren.
