Funeral services to celebrate the life of Leonora Lopez age 67 of Lamesa, TX. will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 18, 2025, at La Trinidad Methodist Church with Pastor Jessie Pena officiating. Burial committal will follow to the Dawson County Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the trusted care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home.
The viewing will be held on Thursday, July 17, 2025, at La Trinidad Methodist Church from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.
Leonora passed away on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, in Lubbock, Texas. She was born on October 21, 1957, in Karnes City, Texas. Leonora married Robert Lopez in February 1975 in Lamesa, Texas.
Leonora was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lopez on October 2, 2021.
Leonora always placed God first in her life. She loved her family. She also loved listening to music, dancing, and she enjoyed gardening, and cooking for her family, playing with her grandchildren and grandchildren. She was very creative and was an active church member at La Trinidad Methodist Church.
Leonora is survived by her son, Robert Lopez, Jr., daughters, Edna Lopez, and Stephanie Odom, all of Lubbock, TX.; 8 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; numerous relatives and friends.
