A Catholic funeral mass service will be celebrated for Leonel P. Salazar age 72 of O’Donnell, TX. at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 30, 2024, at the St. Pius X Catholic Church in O’Donnell, TX. with Father Sylvester Dsouza officiating. Funeral arrangements are under the trusted care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home of Lamesa, TX.
Leonel passed away on Friday, August 23, 2024, in O’Donnell, TX. He was born on March 14, 1952, in Lamesa, TX.
Leonel was preceded in death by his parents, Nemecio Salazar and mother, Anita Perales Salazar; sisters, Marta Salazar and Chavela Nieto; brother, Martin Salazar.
Leonel was a graduate of Seagraves High School. He lived in San Antonio, TX. for some time, lived in Lubbock, TX. and worked at Nubro Bearings, moved to Seminole, TX. where he worked at Superior Plumbing for 15 years, then retired and recently moved to O’Donnell, TX.
Leonel is survived by his sisters, Isidra Zepeda of O’Donnell, TX., and Rosa Lazarro of California, Cruz Villalobos and husband, Adam of Temple, TX., Rosa Ward and husband Sunny of San Antonio, TX.; brothers, Pasqual Salazar and wife Ester of Denver City, TX., Nemecio Salazar, r. and wife Teresa of O’Donnell, TX., Adan Salazar and wife Mirella of Seminole, TX.; numerous relatives and friends.
