JULIAN PINEDA's Obituary
A Catholic funeral mass service will be celebrated for Julian Pineda age 75 of Lamesa, TX., at 10:00 a.m., Friday, October 14, 2022 at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church with Fr. Chacko Thadathil officiating. Burial committal will follow to the Dawson County Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home.
Viewing will be held on Thursday, October 13, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m., with a Rosary prayer service starting at 7:00 p.m. at Gonzales Funeral Home Chapel.
Julian passed away on Tuesday, October 11, 2022 in Lubbock, TX. He was born January 28, 1947 in Mexico. Julian married Julia Lopez on October 26, 1976 in Lamesa, TX.
He was preceded in death by his father, Enrique Pineda and mother, Soladad Moreno; his brother, Rafael Juarez; his sister-in-law, Amavilla Pineda.
Julian worked many years in the oil fields until his retirement. He enjoyed mechanic work. Julian was a friendly, joyful funny guy. He had many friends.
Julian is survived by his wife, Julia Pineda of Lamesa, TX.; his sons, Julian Pineda, Jr., Joe Henry Pineda, and Arthur Pineda, all of Lamesa, TX.; his daughters, Inez Flores, and Irene Cortez, both of Lamesa, TX.; 14 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; numerous relatives and friends.
