A Catholic funeral mass will be celebrated for Juan (Johnny) Molina IV age 55 of Lamesa, TX. at 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 25, 2019 at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church with Father Joseph Kurumbel officiating. Burial will follow to the Dawson County Cemetery. Funeral arrangments were under the care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home of Lamesa, TX.
A Rosary prayer service will be held at 7: 00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, March 24, 2019 at Gonzales Funeral Home Chapel.
Johnny passed away on Wednesday March 20, 2019 in Lamesa. He was born on October 16, 1963 in Ozona, Texas. Johnny married Kathy Vara on March 13, 1997 in Lamesa, TX.
Johnny was preceded in death by his son, Juan (Jay) Molina V; his mother, Lupe Valdez, and his father, Juan Molina III; his father-in-law, Thomas Vara; his nephew, T.J. Hernandez.
Johnny worked as a diesel mechanic. He enjoyed fishing, Lotto scratch-offs, Bingo , refurbishing furniture, and spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his his wife, Kathy Molina of Lamesa, TX.; his sons, Justin Molina and daughter-in-law, Crystal Molina of Lamesa,TX. and Chico Molina and daughter-in-law, Jacobi Lopez of Lamesa, TX.; his daughters, Destinie Rodriguez and son-in-law, Jesus Rodriguez of Andrews, TX., Demetra Dawn Molina of Lubbock, TX.; 11 grandchildren; his mother-in-law, Elosia Vara of Lamesa, TX.; his brother, Tony Hernandez and his sister-in-law, Martha Hernandez of Lamesa, TX; his sister, Jenny Lopez of Lubbock, TX.;numerous relatives and friends.
