Family and friends will gather in remembrance of Juan Jose (Johnny) Gonzales at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 1, 2024, at Gonzales Funeral Home.
Juan Jose Gonzales, age 58 of Lamesa, TX., passed away, and was reunited with his mother and grandmother on Friday, January 26, 2024
Johnny was born on June 19, 1965, in Nampa, Idaho to Maria Vela. Johnny will be remembered for having an infectious smile and laugh. He never met someone he didn’t know, and no one was a stranger. He was a handy man that never refused to help others, and he lit up the room when he walked in with his wonderful charisma. He was loved by many, and he loved many. He will be greatly missed by all.
Johnny is survived by daughter, Angelica Aguirre and husband Mario of Morton, TX.; granddaughter, Khloe Ann; sisters, Elida Alvardo, Amy Alvarado of Midland, Irene Salazar of Lamesa, brother Eric Vela of Midland; aunt, Irma Salazar of Midland; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Maria Vela, grandmother, Elvira Martinez.
