Joy and Steven would always come to the drive-in theatre in Midland with Erik and some of their foreign exchange students. She was always smiling and in great spirits. Hard to forget. Thoughts and good wishes for Steven and their family.

I worked with Joy at Lamesa High school, she was a great friend I loved talking to her she always had great advice. Rest in peace my friend.
I recently met Joy and it was thru a postcard she sent to my son. I was so overjoyed to see a teacher praise and encourage my child the way she did. I went to thank her and she GAVE ME A BEAUTIFUL HUG. She was a beautiful person as we say in Spanish “PURO CORAZON” meaning Pure Heart.
So many memories! I was her maid of honor in her and Steve’s wedding and she was my matron of honor in mine and Roy’s. So much time of laughter. I remember late night spades games. While I didn’t get to see her as much as I would have liked as we both got older, I will always cherish her friendship. She loved like Jesus.
