Joe was preceded in death by his father, Mauro R. Garcia and his mother, Lucia Carrillo Garcia; his brothers, Patricio C. Garcia, Alvaro C. Garcia, Loreno C. Garcia, and Placido C. Garcia.
The youngest of seven siblings, Joe grew up in the small town of Genoa, TX. After high school, he married Mary Esther Fonseca and relocated to San Antonio, TX. where they began their family of 4 children. Joe worked various occupations as a furniture salesman and as a delivery driver for 7-UP Products in San Antonio, TX. He was a valued worker for West Foundation Leveling & Repair and in his last working years before his retired, he worked at Delaney Vineyards & Winery in Lamesa, TX. He truly enjoyed working at the Winery so much he would say that it didn’t seem like work at all. He loved the slow easy way of life in Lamesa and found it peaceful and he was happy there. Joe loved playing the guitar, reading books, studying the Bible and Christian articles and he also was a writer. He kept journals, writing poems and jotting down his thoughts and questions on what he encountered. He especially loved both freshwater and saltwater fishing and even knew how to cook shark soup. Joe touched many with his generous, fun-loving spirit and was a friend to many. Joe will be deeply and sorely missed by his loving family and friends.
Joe is survived by his children, his daughters, Cynthia Garcia Kloesel of Floresville, TX., Lorette Sadler Ramirez of Cuero, TX., and Judy Garza of San Antonio, TX.; his son, Mark Sadler of Pleasanton, TX.; mother of his children, Mary Esther F. Sadler of Pleasanton, TX.; brother, Miguel Carillo Garcia of South Houston, TX.; sister, Mercedes Garcia Iniquez of Houston, TX.; 8 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; numerous relatives and friends.
