JOSEPH ADAM DIMAS's Obituary
Joseph Adam Dimas, age 43, of Lamesa, passed away on Saturday, October 12, 2025, in Lubbock, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 17, 2025, at St. Margaret Mary’s Catholic Church in Lamesa, with interment to follow in Dawson County Cemetery. Arrangements are under the trusted care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home.
A Rosary and Inspirational Service will be held on Wednesday and Thursday, October 15th and 16th, at 7:00 p.m. at Gonzales Funeral Home. Family visitation will take place on Thursday, October 16th, from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m.
Joseph was born on April 19, 1982, in Big Spring, Texas, to Robert and Leticia Dimas. He was a proud graduate of Lamesa High School’s Class of 2000. After attending Midland College, Joseph moved to Amarillo, where he built a career as a framer in construction, working with various companies. Joseph’s heart was always outdoors—he loved playing his favorite sports, including baseball, softball, basketball, and coed volleyball. His passion extended beyond playing, as he joyfully coached his daughter in youth volleyball, cheering her on was his greatest joy in life. Known for his vibrant spirit, love for music, and fondness for dancing, Joseph brought laughter and light wherever he went. His welcoming nature made him a friend to everyone he met. Joseph’s energy, humor, and deep love for family and fun touched all who knew him, leaving behind a legacy of warmth, laughter, and unforgettable memories.
Joseph is preceded in death by his father, Robert Dimas; his paternal grandfather, Adelaido R. Dimas; and his maternal grandfather, Antonio Perez. He is survived by his daughter, Aveah Dimas of Amarillo, Texas; his mother, Leticia Dimas of Lamesa; and his sister, Mayda Dimas of Lamesa. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews: Lilliana Morales, Madalyn Morales, Phillip Saul Morales Jr., Zyanna Morales, and Cecilia Martinez (special niece), all of Lamesa and Odessa.
Additional survivors include his maternal grandmother, Dominga V. Perez, and paternal grandmother, Rosa L. Dimas, both of Lamesa; along with a host of loving aunts, uncles, numerous cousins, and many dear family members and friends from Amarillo.
