Josefina Hinojos' Obituary
Funeral services to celebrate the life of Josefina Hinojos, age 61 of Lorenzo, Texas, will be at 10:00 a.m., Monday, September 28, 2015 at The First Baptist Church of Lorenzo, Texas, with Pastor Joe Cantu officiating. Interment will follow to The Lorenzo Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home of Lamesa, Texas.
Viewing and visitation will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2015 at The First Baptist Church in Lorenzo from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.
Josefina passed away on Thursday, September 26, 2015 at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock, Texas. She was born on June 22, 1954 in Plainview, Texas. Josefina married Pedro Hinojos, Sr. on September 27, 1997 in Lorenzo, Texas.
Josefina was preceded in death by both her parents, Felipe and Theodora Salazar; her brother, Juan Salazar.
Josefina enjoyed attending her church, Primera Iglesia Bautista in Lorenzo, spending precious time at family gathering, watching the "Cooking Food Channel" and teaching at school.
Josefina is survived by her loving family, her husband, Pedro Hinojos, Sr. of Lorenzo, Texas; her son, Josue Gutierrez of Lorenzo, Texas; her step-daughters, Velma Mojica of Ransom Canyon, Texas, Alma Hinojos of Idalou, Texas; her step-sons, Gabriel Hinojos of Idalou, Texas, Ephrem Hinojos of Lubbock, Texas, Pedro Hinojos, Jr. of Idalou, Texas; her sister, Margarita Cantu of Hollis, OK; her brother, Felipe Salazar, Jr. of Idalou, Texas; 12 grandchildren.
