John was born on February 7, 1928, in Hunter, TX.
John was preceded in death by his sons, Arthur Rivera, and Rudy Rivera; parents, Jose and Elvira Rivera; brothers, Alfredo Rivera, Alberto Rivera, Ruben Rivera; sisters, Lupe Rodriguez, Lucia Moreno, Carolina Vasquez, Mary Perez, Eloisa Perez, Josephine Lopez, Eloisa Galindo, Margarita Perez.
John is survived by his daughters, Carmen Rivera Flores of New Mexico, Mary Esther Rivera of California, Ernestina Rivera of Lamesa, TX., and stepdaughter Nelda Aguirre of Lamesa, TX.; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren; sister, Beatrice Garza of Lamesa, TX.;numerous relatives and friends.
