He was born on April 4, 1941 in Georgetown, TX. Joe married Juanita Aguilar in 1978 in Lamesa, TX.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Juanita A. Martinez; his parents, Ignacio Perez, Sr. and Dominga Perez; his brothers, Filomeno Perez and Ignacio Perez, Jr.
Joe was a member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church and the church Men’s Organization. He liked buying Lottery tickets. He loved going camping and fishing with his great grandson. Joe enjoyed meeting his friends Liborio, Chon, Miguel, and Jose for coffee at Stripe’s store.
Joe is survived by his daughters, Christina Mireles and son-in-law, Leo Mireles of Brownfield, TX., and Martina Ramon and son-in-law, Erik Ramon of Lamesa, TX.; his brothers, Angel Perez, and Jenaro Perez, both of Denver City, TX.; sisters, Lupe Aguilar of Denver City, TX., and Juana Aguilar of Levelland, TX.; grandchildren, Bobby, Alexandra, T.J., Robert, Henry, Rosa Maria, Roberto, Leo, Jr., and Maria Nicole; 19 great-grandchildren; several relatives and friends.
