Funeral services to celebrate the life of Joe Lozano age 67 of Lamesa, TX. will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, October 13, 2025, at Gonzales Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Liboryo Iglesias officiating. The burial committal will follow to the Dawson County Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the trusted care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home.
The viewing and visitation will be held on Sunday, October 12, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. (noon) until 9:00 p.m. at Gonzales Funeral Home with an Inspirational Service starting at 7:00 p.m.
Joe passed away surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, October 5, 2025, in Lamesa, TX. He was born on March 15, 1958, in Lamesa, TX. Joe married Gloria Ramirez on July 11, 1977, in Dawson County, Texas.
Joe was preceded in death by his father, Desiderio Lozano, and his mother, Trinidad Lozano; his sister, Gloria Lozano; his brother, Victor Lozano; his father-in-law, and mother-in-law, Pedro and Eva Ramirez; his brother-in-law, Joe Ramirez, and brother-in-law, Juan Ramirez.
Joe Lozano married his wife at the age of 19 and they had 48 beautiful years of marriage. He was a loving man who devoted his entire life to his precious family. He loved is kids and all his grandkids so much in his own special way. He was known for his strength, generosity, and the way he always lent a helping hand to anyone in need. He was a hardworking hand in business of Roustabouting for 45 years of his life. He was known to is co-workers and friends as “Cobra Joe”. He was a proud and loyal Dallas Cowboy fan. He loved fishing, grilling, and watching WrestleMania, and above all spending time with his family. He was a strong leader, devoted husband, father, and a source of love and guidance to everyone around him.
Joe is survived by his wife, Gloria Lozano of Lamesa, TX.; his sons, Chris Lozano and wife Sarah Lozano and children of Lamesa, TX., Adam Lozano and wife Shea Lozano and children of Lamesa, TX.; his daughters, Irma Gonzales and husband Chris Gonzales and children of Lamesa, TX., and Nicole Lozano and children of Lubbock, TX., his brothers, Frank Lozano of Lamesa, TX., Pete Lozano and wife Janie Lozano of Lamesa, TX., Jessie Lozano and wife Leticia Lozano of Lamesa, TX., Paul Lozano and late wife Susie Lozano of Big Spring, TX., and Armando Lozano and wife Denora Lozano of Lamesa, TX.; his sister, Marylou Orosco and husband Ricky Orosco of Snyder, TX.; 20 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild; numerous relatives and friends.
