A chapel funeral service for Jimmy Vasquez, age 52 of Lamesa, Texas was held on Friay, June 20, 2014 with Father Joseph Kurumbel officiating and assisted by Deacon Daniel Valenzuela. Burial followed to Dawson County Cemetery with funeral arrangements under the care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home of Lamesa.
A Rosary service was held on Thursday, June 19, 2014 at Gonzales Funeral Home Chapel.
Jimmy passed away on Monday, June 16, 2014 at Universal Medical Center in Lubock. He was born on December 9, 1962 in Lamesa, Texas. Jimmy was an oilfield operator since the age of 18.
Jimmy is survived by his children, sons, James Vasquez of Lamesa, Texas and Isaac Vasquez of El Paso, Texas; daughters, Stacey Vasquez and Christine Vasquez, Samantha Solis, all of Lamesa, Texas and Jasmine Vasquez of San Antonio, Texas; hia mother, Clara Riley of Lamesa, Texas; his brothers, Francisco Maldonado of Lamesa, Texas and Daniel Maldonado of Lubbock, Texas; his sisters, Darlene Maldonado of Lubbock, Texas and Maria Hernandez of Fresno, CA; eight grandchildren.
